Scanning Tools

Page history last edited by Phil Bradley 5 years ago

An iPad, other tablet or  mobile phone is a great device to use in order to scan papers, photographs, receipts or indeed anything else that you need photographic copies of. The days of using a photocopier are beginning to become a distant memory.

Their strap line is 'keep the past alive'. It's a great tool that is fully centred on allowing you to take your photographs and share them in a social network environment. The website is available at http://www.clixta.com/ and it provides you with access to their marketing video as well as links to the apps.

If you want to watch the video at YouTube it's to be found at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qj0w55xiKWU

If you want to download the app, it's available at

iOS https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/clixta/id990580132?mt=8&ign-mpt=uo%3D4

Android https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.clixta.app2

This is an excellent tool for scanning a large number of images very quickly. Simply point your device to the page of photographs that you want to scan, and the app does the rest for you. You can arrange them into folders and then share them as you wish.

If you want to watch the video on YouTube it's available at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w6HTbg2DDGo

If you decide that you want to download the app, it's available at

iOS https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/id951627022?mt=8 but unfortunately it is only available as a paid app at £3.99

Android The Android app isn't yet available but if you go to the website at http://www.photomyne.com/ you can register your interest and they will then email you.
