It's becoming more and more important to guide people around the internet. There are so many different sites, so much inaccurate information and a lot of people who want to promote disinformation whenever possible as well. Of course, this is something that librarians have always done - make information available for other people. We have for example the Internet Public Library and there are LibGuides as well of course. However, while these are always useful, there are limits on what can be done. There may well be times when you have to put together a list of resources at short notice, or for a specific group of people. There are a couple of tools that I would suggest that you take a look at.

Symbaloo

This is a great tool which allows you to create a home or a start page - that's to say, the first page that opens up on your browser when you start it.  You can add in new tiles to take viewers to specific sites very quickly and easily, you can have different tabs for different subjects and these can all be modified quickly and easily.

If you don't want to view the video here, it's available at Youtube itself.

If you want to download the Symbaloo App it's available at

iTunes at https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/symbaloo-bookmark-share-your/id521081559?mt=8

Google Play at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.symbaloo.android&hl=en
